The Livermore Housing Authority will be accepting applications for the Section 8 Waiting List beginning April 26, 2011 to May 2, 2011

The Livermore Housing Authority will be accepting applications for the Section 8 Waiting List beginning April 26, 2011 to May 2, 2011The website will be available 24 hours each day during the application process.

Application Process
The application process will be conducted by Internet at  No paper applications will be available.
All required fields must be completed for the application to be accepted.
Please use personal computers or those of family or friends before seeking public computer resources
Upon submission of the application a receipt will be generated with a unique application number.  Print this receipt and save for your records.  If you do not have a printer, write down the application number.  The Livermore Housing Authority does not have access to the wait list at this time.
Due to space limitations, computers will not be available at the Livermore Housing Authority office.
Duplicate applications will be deleted before the lottery is conducted.

Eligibility Conditions
At least one person in the household must be a U. S. citizen or be an eligible immigrant.  The following individuals are not eligible for assistance:
Individuals subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender
Individuals convicted of manufacturing methamphetamine in any Public Housing program
The total annual income for everyone in the household, including children, (before any amounts are taken for taxes, garnishments, etc.) is less than or equal to the amounts shown below:

The following locations have no affiliation with the Livermore Housing Authority and have no information regarding this process.  However, they have computers available for internet access.

Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Ave. Mon-Thurs 10A-9P, Fri 10A-6P, Sat 10A-5P, Sun 12P-6P
Rincon Library, 725 Rincon Ave., Mon 12P-8P, Wed 10A-6P, Fri 10A-5P
Springtown Library, 998 Bluebell Dr., Tues only 12P-8P
Senior Center (must be age 55 or older), 4444 East Ave., Mon-Thurs 9A-12N, 12:30P-4P

If you are receiving assistance from another agency or community based organization not listed above, they may also be able to assist you with gaining Internet access, simply ask.

Limited English Proficiency
The online application is available in English and Spanish.

Reasonable Accommodation
We believe that all clients should try and use available resources: agencies, family and friends.  However, if you have a disability that prevents you from using the internet the request must be received by April 26, 2011. Please send a letter to the address on the above letterhead explaining your need for the accommodation.  If the reasonable accommodation criteria are not met, clients must then make their own arrangements to use the internet.


Placement is not based on date and time.  All applications submitted during the application process will be included in the lottery. Your position on the waiting list will be determined and assigned preferences established by the Livermore Housing Authority.  Preference(s) will be subject to verification.

It is important that you keep documentation of where you currently live and any preferences you claim.  You will be required to produce this information when the final eligibility determination is made.
